A place to document what does not fit neatly into a box.
Velaire Archive is an independent anomalous-experience project for people who have witnessed, sensed, heard, or lived through something they cannot easily explain. The Archive is intentionally broader than UFO/UAP research. A report may involve an aerial anomaly, a perceived being or presence, a haunting, an unusual household event, recurring synchronicity, sound or vibration, a signal experience, or something that has no clear name.
The founder of Velaire Archive
Velaire Archive was created and is independently maintained by its founder, whose background includes a B.A. in Psychology, an M.A. in Counseling, and work with expressive arts and holistic, meaning-centered approaches. That experience shapes the Archive’s approach: careful listening, respect for the witness, and room for uncertainty rather than forcing an experience into a predetermined explanation.
Before creating Velaire Archive, the founder joined the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) and completed and passed its Field Investigator certification examination. Despite completing that preparation, she was later told that she would not be able to participate in field investigations. A report she had previously submitted was later reopened, and she was connected with a well-known investigator in her area.
Those experiences revealed how difficult it can be for witnesses—and for people who sincerely want to help document unusual events—to find an accessible place within established systems. Velaire Archive grew from the need for an independent space where experiences can be recorded in the witness’s own language, considered without ridicule, and held without requiring a predetermined conclusion.
Velaire Archive is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by MUFON. It is not presented as a clinical practice, crisis service, or substitute for licensed medical or mental-health care. Its purpose is documentation, exploration, creative research, and human connection around anomalous experience.
When a message appears to benefit from a more personal conversation, the Archive may respond privately. A reply cannot be guaranteed, but visitors may request contact without publishing or seeing a personal email address.
REQUEST PRIVATE CONTACT →How Velaire works
- The witness may describe the experience in their own language.
- No one has to show their face or publicly identify themselves.
- Reports can remain private or be shared anonymously when that option is offered.
- Uncertainty is allowed. Recording an experience is not the same as proving its cause.
- Signal experiments remain separate from claims about the source of an unusual response.
